Who needs to complete an attestation
All providers and delegated entities in our Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, including Special Needs plans (SNPs) must follow the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) compliance program rules. CMS requires all first-tier, downstream, and related (FDR) entities to complete an annual attestation.
Complete the required training
Work through the compliance, FWA, HIPAA, cybersecurity, phishing, Model of Care and cultural competency modules, or run the equivalent through your own internal training program.
Sign the attestation
Confirm your Tax ID, review the providers it covers, record a completion date for each module, and sign on screen. A new attestation is required annually.
Keep your copy
Download the signed PDF and retain it, along with your training and monitoring evidence, for at least ten years. You may be asked for it during an audit.
